1. The default rule (and why we go further)
Most digital marketplaces — Etsy included — list digital downloads as final sale because once a buyer has the file, the transaction can't really be undone. We follow the same logic, but we also know how it feels to buy a widget that won't load on your scene. So we offer a 14-day technical-issue refund window and a 7-day no-questions-asked window for anything we can verify wasn't downloaded yet.
2. 14-day technical refund — full money back
If the file is broken, won't open in the listed software, doesn't match the description, or has a bug we can't fix within 72 hours, we'll refund 100% of what you paid. No restocking fee, no 'store credit only.' You have 14 days from the purchase date to flag the issue.
3. 7-day change-of-mind refund — only if untouched
Changed your mind? Bought the wrong pack by accident? If the file hasn't been downloaded yet (we can verify this in our system), we'll refund the full amount within 7 days of purchase. Once the file is downloaded, this option is no longer available — that's the part Etsy doesn't do, but we do.
4. What we can't refund
Refunds aren't available when the file works as described, has been downloaded, and you simply prefer a different style. Same for issues caused by streaming software bugs outside the asset itself, custom modifications you made and want reverted, or requests filed more than 14 days after purchase.
5. How to request a refund
Email hello@digitalscenary.com with your order number and a one-line description of the issue. Screenshots or a short clip of the bug help us troubleshoot faster. Refunds are processed within 3 business days back to your original payment method.
6. Bundle & sale-item refunds
Bundles refund as a whole — we don't split partial refunds out of a discounted pack. Items bought during a flash sale are eligible for the same 14-day technical refund as full-price items; the 7-day change-of-mind window does not apply to discounts greater than 40% off.
7. Chargebacks
Please email us before opening a chargeback with your bank. We answer within 24 hours and resolve almost everything directly — chargebacks just freeze your account and slow the process for both of us.
