Cameo is a gothic Twitch chat widget wrapped in mourning jet lacquer, with an antique cameo brooch and real Twitch subscriber badges beside every message. Every panel is drawn by hand, from the lace trim to the small skull set into the frame. It was built for streamers who want their chat to feel like a found heirloom, not a HUD.
Cameo is a gothic-themed animated chat box overlay built for StreamElements and OBS. It's designed around dark Victorian mourning jewelry, with black lacquer edges and beaded trim. A hand-drawn cameo portrait frames the whole widget. Real Twitch badges for subscriber, VIP, moderator, founder, Prime and bits sit beside each name. Twitch, 7TV and BTTV emotes all render inside the chat feed. Five alert types — sub, tip, cheer, raid and follow — surface directly in chat, each with its own accent colour. Streamers get 37 settings in total, covering side, alignment, message count, hide-after timer, entrance animation, fonts, sizes and colours. An ignore list and hide-commands option keep busy chats tidy. A built-in preview page lets you test every alert before going live. Everything here comes straight from the widget itself, so what you preview is exactly what goes live on stream.
Install takes one click through the StreamElements widget importer, then you connect it with just your Twitch channel name — no code to paste in. From there you can reposition the box, pick a new accent colour, or swap the entrance animation without touching a line of CSS. It drops into OBS as a standard browser source, so it sits in your scene exactly like any other layer.
Cameo suits streamers building a moody, Victorian-gothic scene: dark fantasy channels, horror and analog horror creators, Halloween streams, and vtuber setups that want chat to feel a little haunted. It's one more piece of a cohesive look, not a generic add-on bolted onto a bright layout.
