Casket is a hand-drawn gothic animated chat widget for Twitch, wrapping every message in tufted velvet with silver coffin hardware and real Twitch badges. I designed it for streamers who want their chat to feel like part of a haunted parlor, not a generic overlay. Every name badge, alert, and emote sits inside that same dark, candlelit frame.
Casket is a gothic animated chat box widget built for StreamElements and OBS, wrapping every Twitch message in a tufted velvet panel with silver coffin-hinge hardware. The box displays real Twitch badges — subscriber, VIP, moderator, founder, Prime, and bits — beside each chat name, so viewer status reads clearly even in low light. 5 alert types play inside the chat itself: subscriptions, tips, cheers, raids, and follows, each with its own accent color so the type registers at a glance. Casket reads Twitch, 7TV, and BTTV emotes, and includes an ignore list plus hide-commands so moderation stays invisible to viewers. Everything is adjustable from 37 settings covering side, alignment, message count, hide-after timer, entrance animation, fonts, sizes, and colors, so the coffin frame can shift from near-black to any palette your scene uses. Install takes one click through the StreamElements widget importer, then connect it with your Twitch channel name — no code, no manual field entry. A preview page lets you test chat and alerts before going live.
I built Casket for streamers leaning into dark academia, horror, or moody gothic themes — the kind of chat that feels at home next to candlelight and fog. The tufted panel and silver hinges give it a coffin-lid silhouette without tipping into cheap Halloween clip art. It stays legible in fast-moving chat, even during raids, because the frame never competes with the text inside it.
Casket drops into StreamElements in one click and runs as a browser source in OBS, so setup takes minutes, not an afternoon. It's yours to use on your own channel, for personal or commercial streams, once you've got it — no subscription, no recurring fee. Recolor it to match any scene, from forest green to midnight violet, and it stays part of your kit for every future stream.
