Chandelier is a hand-drawn gothic twitch chat widget that frames every message in candlelit crystal and dripping wax beside glowing badges at quiet dusk. I built it for streamers who want their chat to feel like part of a moonlit ballroom, not a plain box bolted onto a scene. Every name arrives dressed in gold trim, real Twitch badges, and a soft flicker that never feels harsh.

Chandelier is an animated chat box overlay built for StreamElements, designed around a dark fantasy theme of wrought iron, crystal drops, and dripping candles. It displays real Twitch badges — subscriber, VIP, moderator, founder, Prime, and bits — beside every name, so chat still reads at a glance under all that gothic detail. Five alert types are built into the chat feed itself: sub, tip, cheer, raid, and follow, each with its own accent colour instead of a generic flash. Emotes come from three sources — Twitch, 7TV, and BTTV — plus an ignore list and hide commands for keeping the feed tidy during a busy raid train. The widget ships with 37 settings covering side, alignment, message count, hide-after timing, entrance animation, fonts, sizes, and colour, so the candlelight can match any scene. It installs through the StreamElements widget importer and connects with just your Twitch channel name.

Settings live inside the widget itself, so you can nudge the chandelier's glow without touching code. Pick which side it sits on, how many messages stay visible, how long they linger, and the entrance animation each new line uses. Fonts, sizes, and every colour in the frame are yours to change, so Chandelier can sit next to a blush-pink scene just as easily as a black one.

Chandelier runs as a browser source in OBS, and a built-in preview page lets you test chat lines and alerts before you ever go live. One link from the StreamElements importer is all it takes to drop it into your layout — no manual CSS or JS wiring needed.

This one suits channels leaning into horror, dark academia, or any moodier aesthetic, especially heading into Halloween season. License covers personal and commercial use on your own channel — once you own the files, they're yours to keep in rotation for as long as you stream.
