Dungeon is a hand-drawn gothic chat box overlay for Twitch, wrapping each message in stone walls and glowing torchlight, with badges beside every name. I built it for streamers who want their Twitch chat widget to feel like a scene, not just a box of text. Every bubble glows faintly against the dark stone, like a room lit by one torch.

Dungeon is a gothic-themed Twitch chat widget built for StreamElements, with every message framed by hand-drawn stone walls, a flickering torch, and a hanging chain. Real Twitch badges sit beside each name, covering subscriber, VIP, moderator, founder, Prime, and bits tiers, so viewer rank is always visible at a glance. Five alert types run inside the same chat feed: subs, tips, cheers, raids, and follows, each with its own accent colour so you can tell them apart without reading. Emotes come from three sources, Twitch, 7TV, and BTTV, and an ignore list and hide-commands option keep the feed clean during a live show. With 37 settings covering side, alignment, message count, hide-after timer, entrance animation, fonts, sizes, and colours, the widget can be tuned to match almost any scene. It installs through the StreamElements widget importer and connects with nothing more than your Twitch channel name.

This Twitch chat widget drops into OBS as a browser source, and a built-in preview page lets you test chat messages and alerts before you go live. Once it is connected through the StreamElements importer, there is nothing else to install. You simply enter your channel name and the dungeon lights up.

Every piece of Dungeon can be adjusted from the settings panel. Choose which side it sits on, how messages align, how many stay on screen, and how long they linger before fading out. Entrance animations, fonts, sizes, and colours are all open to change, so the stone and torchlight can shift to match your palette. The gothic frame stays, but the rest is yours to shape.

Dungeon suits a channel that leans into dark fantasy, horror, or moody storytelling, especially around Halloween. It reads just as well on any night stream that wants a bit of atmosphere, not only spooky ones. You can use it on your own channels, personal or commercial, for as long as you stream.
