Epitaph is a gothic Twitch chat widget framed in carved stone with a glowing winged skull beside every name, built for StreamElements and ready for OBS. Every message sits inside the stone frame, and real Twitch badges — subscriber, VIP, moderator, founder, Prime, bits — sit right beside each name. It is the chat box for channels that lean into dark fantasy, horror, or moody aesthetics instead of neon and glass.

Epitaph is a hand-drawn gothic chat box overlay built for StreamElements and designed to drop into OBS as a browser source in under a minute. The widget includes 37 individual settings. These cover side and alignment, message count, hide-after timer, entrance animation, font, size, and color, so every piece of the carved-stone frame and winged-skull icon can be recolored to match a channel's palette. Each chat message carries real Twitch badges — subscriber, VIP, moderator, founder, Prime, and bits — displayed beside the username, along with Twitch, 7TV, and BTTV emotes. Sub, tip, cheer, raid, and follow alerts appear inside the same chat feed, each with its own accent color, so viewers never miss a moment. An ignore list and hide-commands option keep the feed readable during busy raids. A built-in preview page lets a streamer test chat and alerts before going live, without needing a real Twitch chat running in the background.

I designed Epitaph for streamers who want their chat to feel like part of a haunted library, not a generic widget pasted onto a scene. The stone texture and skull icon carry the mood even when chat is quiet, and the glow only picks up once someone actually types. Change the color once in the StreamElements importer and the whole frame follows — no code, no manual edits.

Install takes one click through the StreamElements widget importer, then connect it with your Twitch channel name — nothing else to configure before you are live. It works as a standard OBS browser source, so it drops into an existing scene in seconds. Buy it once and it's yours for personal and commercial use on your own channels.
