Plague Doctor is a gothic Twitch chat widget with a hand-drawn plague doctor mask, stitched leather frame, and real Twitch badges beside every chat name. I built it for streamers who want their chat to feel like a candlelit study, not a dashboard. It drops into StreamElements in minutes and glows the moment someone talks.
Plague Doctor is an animated StreamElements chat box built around a stitched-leather frame and a glowing plague doctor mask that watches over the conversation. Every message sits inside the leather panel, while the beaked doctor and a brass-buckled strap frame the edge like a ledger clasped shut. Real Twitch badges sit beside each name, covering subscriber, VIP, moderator, founder, Prime, and bits in one glance. That means your mods and top supporters stand out without any extra setup on your part. Five alert types — sub, tip, cheer, raid, and follow — each carry their own accent colour and animate into the chat feed instead of interrupting it. Emotes come from three sources, Twitch, 7TV, and BTTV, so inside jokes and custom reactions render exactly as your community expects. Thirty-seven settings cover side, alignment, message count, hide-after timer, entrance animation, fonts, sizes, and colours, which means the gothic mood is fixed but every practical detail is yours to adjust.
Everything runs through the StreamElements widget importer, so there's no code to edit. Connect it with your Twitch channel name and the mask, badges, and alerts are already working. It also works as a plain OBS browser source, and a preview page lets you test chat and alerts before you go live.
The set suits horror, dark fantasy, and moody channels — anywhere a flicker of candlelight fits the scene better than neon. An ignore list and hide-commands option keep spam and bot clutter out of view. Once you own it, the file is yours for personal and commercial use on your own channel.
