Reaper is a gothic animated chat widget for Twitch and StreamElements, wrapping every message in hand-drawn scythe-and-hourglass artwork with skull icons. I built it for streamers who want their chat to feel like part of a dark fantasy world instead of a plain text box stapled onto the screen.
Reaper Gothic Twitch Chat Widget is a hand-drawn chat box overlay built for the StreamElements widget importer, styled around a weathered scythe blade and a swinging hourglass that frame each line of chat. Real Twitch badges — subscriber, VIP, moderator, founder, Prime and bits — sit beside every name, so chat still reads clearly under the dark theme. Five alert types, for subs, tips, cheers, raids and follows, appear inside the same chat feed, each with its own accent glow instead of a separate pop-up. Twitch, 7TV and BTTV emotes render inline, and 37 settings cover colour, side, alignment, message count, hide-after timer, entrance animation, font and size, so the whole widget can be retuned without touching code. It installs as an OBS browser source or through the StreamElements importer and includes a preview page for testing chat and alerts before going live.
Setup takes about a minute: paste the widget link into StreamElements, enter your Twitch channel name, and Reaper connects on its own. Every colour in the theme can be swapped without leaving the settings panel, so the bone-white glow can shift to match your own palette. Once it's in your library, it's yours — drop it into any scene alongside your other overlays.
I designed Reaper for streamers who lean into dark fantasy, horror, or Halloween-season branding and want their chat to match. It also works quietly as a year-round gothic aesthetic for channels built around moody, candlelit scenes. The ignore list and hide-commands setting keep the feed clean even on a busy raid night.
Reaper is yours for personal and commercial use on your own channels once downloaded; please don't resell or redistribute the files. If you want a different accent colour or a custom touch, message me — I'm the one who draws these.
