Rosette is a gothic stained-glass animated chat widget for Twitch, framing every message in glowing rosette-window art with real Twitch badges and alerts. I built it for streamers who want their chat to feel like a quiet, candlelit chapel rather than another plain overlay. Every name that scrolls through sits inside the same warm, moody glass, lit from behind like a window at dusk.
Rosette is a gothic-themed animated chat box overlay for StreamElements and OBS. A stained-glass rosette window glows behind every message as chat scrolls. The widget shows real Twitch badges next to each name — subscriber, VIP, moderator, founder, Prime and bits — so chat still reads clearly under the dark artwork. Sub, tip, cheer, raid and follow alerts appear inside the same chat feed, each with its own accent color. Support never gets lost in a separate alert box. Twitch, 7TV and BTTV emotes render inline, and an ignore list with hide-commands keeps the feed tidy during a live show. Streamers can adjust 37 settings in total — side, alignment, message count, hide-after timer, entrance animation, fonts, sizes and colors. That range lets the gothic look shift from candlelit purple to deep crimson without touching code.
Setup takes one click through the StreamElements widget importer. Add your Twitch channel name and the glass comes to life, no code required. Rosette runs as a browser source in OBS, with a built-in preview page to test chat and alerts before you go live. The license covers personal and commercial use on your own channel — it's yours once you buy it, just not for reselling or redistributing the files.
I designed Rosette for streamers who want their channel to feel like its own small cathedral at night — moody, lit, and a little sacred. If gothic and dark fantasy aesthetics fit the mood of your stream, this chat box is built to sit right at home in it.
