Shatter is a gothic animated chat box overlay for Twitch, StreamElements and OBS, framed in haunted mirror glass that cracks as each new message arrives. Every message carries the same cracked-glass, cobweb-corner frame, so the whole feed feels like one haunted surface, not a plain rectangle.
Shatter is a StreamElements chat box built around one hand-drawn gothic frame. The background is mirror glass that cracks, with spiderweb line art etched into every corner. A small glowing charm sits beside each username. Real Twitch badges — subscriber, VIP, moderator, founder, Prime and bits — sit next to every name, so chat still reads clearly inside the dark theme. Sub, tip, cheer, raid and follow alerts appear directly inside the chat feed, each with its own accent colour. The widget reads Twitch, 7TV and BTTV emotes, and you can set an ignore list or hide specific commands to keep the feed tidy. Side, alignment, message count, hide-after timer, entrance animation, fonts, sizes and colours are all adjustable. That adds up to 37 settings in total, so the widget matches your own channel instead of looking like a template.
Install takes one click through the StreamElements widget importer. The widget connects as soon as you enter your Twitch channel name, with no coding required. Drop it into OBS as a browser source, then use the built-in preview page to test chat and alerts before you go live. Every colour in the frame can be changed, so Shatter suits a purple stream just as well as a near-black one.
I designed Shatter for streamers who want their chat to feel like part of a scene. It should not look like a utility box bolted onto the corner of the screen. The style suits horror, dark fantasy and Halloween streams especially well, though the soft glow and muted palette work for any moody, atmospheric channel. Because every colour is adjustable, you are not locked into black and purple if your own branding leans elsewhere.
The download includes the full StreamElements widget file, ready to import as soon as you unzip it. It's yours after one purchase, for personal and commercial use on your own channel — please don't resell or redistribute the files.
