Watcher is a gothic, animated Twitch chat widget whose haunted eye portrait blinks and watches as viewers chat, tip, cheer, and raid your live stream. I drew every frame by hand, from the candlelit frame to the pairs of eyes that peek over the top as your chat gets busy.
Watcher is a StreamElements chat box overlay built around a dark fantasy portrait. A pair of glowing eyes blinks awake, peers over the gold frame, and watches as new messages arrive. The widget shows real Twitch badges beside every name — subscriber, VIP, moderator, founder, Prime, and bits. It also pulls in emotes from Twitch, 7TV, and BTTV, so your chat keeps its usual personality. Five alert types are built in: sub, tip, cheer, raid, and follow, each with its own accent glow. Every piece is adjustable through 37 settings, covering side, alignment, message count, hide-after timer, entrance animation, fonts, sizes, and colors. That means the gold-and-brown gothic palette can shift to match your own scene. It installs through the StreamElements widget importer and runs as an OBS browser source. A built-in preview page lets you test chat and alerts before you go live.
Setting it up takes about a minute: paste the widget URL into StreamElements, add your Twitch channel name, and the eyes start watching your first message. No coding and no extra software — just drop it into your existing scene.
I built Watcher for streamers who want their chat to feel like part of a haunted story — moody, candlelit, a little unsettling in a fun way. It suits horror, dark fantasy, and October streams especially well, but the color and glow are yours to change any night of the year.
The files are yours after one purchase, for personal and commercial use on your own channel. If something doesn't look right in your scene, just message me — I'm the one who drew it, and I'm happy to help you get it glowing.
