Widow Gothic Twitch Chat Widget — Animated OBS Overlay

Widow is a gothic twitch chat widget where a small spider dangles from every chat line, framed by hand-drawn web art and real Twitch subscriber badges. I designed it for streamers who want their chat frame to feel like part of a haunted house, not a plain text box. The spider itself moves, swinging gently at the bottom of the frame instead of sitting still as a static icon. Badges for subscriber, VIP, moderator, founder, Prime and bits show up beside every name automatically.

Widow is an animated gothic chat box built for StreamElements and OBS, and it installs through the StreamElements widget importer in one click. The pack includes 37 adjustable settings, covering side and alignment, message count, hide-after timer, entrance animation, font, size and colour, so the whole look can shift from blood-red to moonlit violet without touching a line of code. 5 alert types — sub, tip, cheer, raid and follow — appear inside the same chat feed, each with its own accent colour, so a new subscriber or a raid doesn't need a separate overlay. Chat itself reads Twitch, 7TV and BTTV emotes, and comes with an ignore list and hide commands for keeping moderation messages out of view. Because it runs as a standard OBS browser source, it also ships with a preview page for testing chat and alerts before going live, which saves a dry run on stream.

It works well for horror-adjacent channels, Halloween streams, or any VTuber or gothic-aesthetic setup where a plain chat box would look out of place. Because it's a browser source, it drops into an existing OBS scene without rebuilding anything else, and the colours can be retuned any time a sub goal or season calls for something different. Once purchased, the files are yours to reuse across your own channels.
